WE HAVE THE WORLD IN OUR HANDS.........SO LETS DO SOMETHING!

GOLDEN DELILAH WOULD LIKE TO BRING TO YOUR ATTENTION  A MESSAGE FROM OUR FRIEND AND ASSOCIATE MONDO ENTERPRISE:.........YOU WOULD BE A FOOL TO MISS THIS............GO ON, DON'T BE LAZY HAVE A READ AND DO SOMETHING!

Hello wonderful people,

I hope you are well and enjoying Spring!

I would like to invite you all to attend a discussion/meeting on Sunday 11th April at The Rich Mix Centre

35-47 Bethnal Green Road
London E1 6LA

TIME 4.30pm

WHY????

I have spoken to most of you about an ongoing discussion I have been having with various people in the entertainment industry about the black community and how we are represented, how we behave (towards each other) and the mark we are making in London. Apart from noticing a lack of solidarity we identified that since the (horrendous and embarrassing) MOBO awards were established there is no other event that celebrates black talent on the scale we think it deserves.
(I've heard of screen nation but it receives minimal recognition)

Bubbling in our minds and burning in our hearts are so many ideas of an event that reflects where young black London is at NOW.  We have been thinking about creating an event that includes all the arts; theatre, film fashion and make it happen OURSELVES. We want to have a huge collaboration in which everyone is involved in making this a true reflection of where we are at.

So many exciting things are happening, so much talent is bursting through and we should be proud. We should be excited and we should want to share it and show it off. This is in no an only black thing, not at all. I’m into love and togetherness and inclusion BUT the reality is in London we are still working DAMN hard to get that recognition, and unless we start stamping are feet and singing our songs no-one will ever listen. It’s in our hands, and it’s up to us.... NOW....

So please come on Sunday to tell us what you think, we want all your ideas, friends, contacts...
